Plus Size Wedding Dresses

Our motto at Hope's is "Every Body. Every Bride."  No matter your size, you deserve to look and feel your absolute best on your big day. We want your wedding dress shopping experience to be warm, comfortable, and joyful. And we want you to strut down that aisle on the big day with confidence because you ARE beautiful! 

We have a great selection of wedding gowns up to a size 36. Also, keep an eye out for special plus size trunk shows when we bring EXTRA dresses in for our curvy brides!  We try to schedule these a few times a year and in each of our locations.  Speaking of locations- our Atkins and Davenport stores have differing inventory. If you don't find your dream dress in one, please consider visiting our other store!

Head's up:  Bridal gowns run small compared to ready-to-wear garments. We know, it stinks that on the day you should feel your BEST, we have to put you in a size you have never had to wear. For example, if you normally wear a size 18 jeans, be prepared to try on wedding dresses around a 22.  We highly recommend not worrying a bit about the number on the tag; each style of dress and designer can fit differently, and that number is only useful when it comes to ordering you the best starting fit.  99% of brides (no matter their clothing size) need alterations anyway!

We help our brides into and out of dresses all day, every day. If this seems strange to you, we get it, it's not something you experience in most shopping environments! Wedding dresses are very special, heavy garments. We help dress our brides to make your visit easier as well as to protect the gowns for future brides. We truly do not care one bit what you look like before that dress gets on, but if it makes you more comfortable, some brides like to wear full coverage shape wear to maintain modesty. Whatever feels right to you! We also have robes available for you in case you want to make a quick trip to the restroom or to a rack of dresses. 

We try to buy plus size wedding dresses from all of our designers who offer them, but some designers are definitely more size-inclusive than others. We can steer you to the best fitting, most comfortable styles that appeal to you and make sure you get the best starting fit in the dress you love. Our expert alterations specialists work with ALL body types and have tons of experience customizing gowns to fit JUST RIGHT.
