And we wait.
You brides know the waiting game… so much anticipation leading up to one big day.
Waiting for my child to arrive is a whole new kind of waiting for me. It’s such a strange time to know the most life-altering thing to happen to me is coming, but not knowing WHEN! I suppose I have an end in sight now, considering my doctor set an induction for next Wednesday, but we are still hopeful to have a natural birth, and it could happen any time!
I suppose this waiting is good training in letting go of control. The Lord knows I can use some training in that as I prepare to be a mom!
For those of you waiting, find comfort in knowing God is in control and meditate with me on His Word:
Romans 12:12 Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.
Psalm 27:14 Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!
Matthew 6:34 Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
Proverbs 19:21 Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Isaiah 55:8-9 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
As I wait, I am remembering God is in control! All will happen in HIS time for HIS glory. Blessings to you as you wait on Him.
