Real Weddings by Hope’s bride Megan said “I do” back home in Indiana, but she found her perfect gown in her new city, Davenport. Megan met her husband, Zach, when he was staying in her hometown for the Kentucky Derby. They did the long distance thing for nearly a year-and-a-half until she moved to live with him in Davenport, where he grew up. About a year later, they were engaged and planning a wedding for September 2014!
Megan found her Maggie Sottero “Divina” at a local shop near her new home- Hope’s in the Village of East Davenport! She complemented it with a gorgeous pearl statement necklace and silver hairpiece from our accessories collection. She said, “I live close to the East Village, so it was awesome to be able to call to see if the girls were busy and go just to try my dress on again once I started buying shoes and things.”
After a celebration at Cornerstone Hall in Salem, Indiana, the couple honeymooned at Sun Palace Resort, a couple’s all-inclusive in Cancun. She said she would recommend it to anyone based on the excellent service!
“Married life for us is perfect! Not much really changed since we were already living with each other, but after saying ‘I do’ it feels like we fell in love all over again,” Megan gushed. She and Zach make a point to always fix any disagreements or frustrations from the day and say goodnight and “I love you” before going to bed.
And to those of you wrapped up in the wedding planning? “Best advice I can give is no matter what try not to stress. It’s hard not to because you want everything to be so perfect, but in the end it will be because you get to marry the love of your life.”
