Valerie and Trevor grew up in the same small town, but didn’t know each other well because he was six years older. The two connected when she began working at the University of Iowa with him. Soon their friendship blossomed into a relationship, and they said “I do” on October 4th in Manchester.
For the elegant fall wedding with touches of gold, Valerie wore a beautiful lace fit-and-flare Essense of Australia gown from Hope’s. Valerie said, “My dress was a perfect fit, it was everything I dreamed it would be.” Her mom also found a lovely style for the day by Merrily Dresses. We are in love with the photos of the two!
Valerie advises brides, “Don’t sweat the small stuff. Things will go wrong on your big day, but you will be so busy you won’t even notice.”
What she remembers from her wedding are the special moments. Her favorite memories are getting ready with her girls, the bus ride after the ceremony, and at the end of the night getting to go relax with her new husband.
Valerie has a little tip for those of you starting your wedding planning: Remember everything you register for will have to fit somewhere in your home! The couple recently traveled to Jamaica for their honeymoon and said it was amazing. “We are very much enjoying having some free time not always wedding planning every spare moment. It is like we are reconnecting all over again.”
Many congratulations to Valerie and Trevor! Thank you for letting us be a part of your special day!
