It was an honor being a part of Taylor and Brennen’s dreamy floral-filled blush wedding! All the details of their special day created a feeling of whimsy and lasting, elegant beauty. You won’t want to miss the gorgeous photos from the wedding of one of the cutest couples ever!
“From the moment I met Brennen I loved him!” Taylor gushes. The two met in 6th grade at Camp Wapsi when their schools brought their students together to meet before middle school. “I’ll never forget this cute little guy sitting on a bench and I instantly sat with him to chat! The first thing I said to him was how cute he was and how he had big ears. Fast forward through middle school he was my best friend and I always had a crush on him. I flirted but he never got the hint!”
Freshman year of high school, Taylor planned a friends’ golfing trip. On hole 7 of the course, Taylor told Brennen she liked him. “After that, our favorite summertime activity was to spend time together golfing. Seven years later he surprised me by asking me to marry him on hole 7! It was the most incredible surprise and my heart is still filled with so much happiness,” she shares.
Taylor began planning a wedding with florals and eucalyptus everywhere. She wanted it to feel soft, pretty and whimsical. She purchased her elegant Allure Bridals gown, petal pink bridesmaid dresses by Bill Levkoff and the men’s tuxes all at Hope’s for their floral and blush wedding.
“The best part of working with Hope’s Bridal was how sweet and caring they are. It was perfect that I was able to pick everything right there from bridesmaid’s dresses to groomsmen tuxes. They worked so hard to ensure I was happy with how my dress fit. I was able to pick out the bridesmaids dresses there so I could see how the dresses looked with my wedding dress,” Taylor says.
Taylor’s crafty family was able to help with a lot of the decorations she envisioned! Her father made the flower boxes while her mom designed the floral arrangements for them. Her dad also built the sweetheart table for the reception and floral chandeliers. Danielle, Taylor’s sister, made all the signage using her Cricut.
Taylor recommends that brides enjoy all the little parts of their planning process. “The day of the wedding will fly by so fast, and I loved planning everything and seeing how amazing the day was. Enjoying planning and all your work makes it so special! Your day will be perfect, do not sweat the tiny things.”.
Looking back on their wedding day, Taylor’s favorite memory is her first look with Brennen. “I was so excited for Brennen to see me. It is a moment I will never forget! Also the dance was an absolute blast!” She will always remember the wedding party dancing on the head table!
The newlyweds both started jobs early in 2019, so they decided to postpone a big honeymoon. However, they enjoyed a “mini-moon” to San Diego after the wedding. They went to the beach every day, drove up the coast, hit up the San Diego Zoo and a Padres baseball game, and explored downtown. They are looking forward to an official honeymoon sometime this spring!
“Married life is great!” Taylor says. “It is so much fun being husband and wife!”
