Real Wedding by Hope’s: Hope and Dylan

Hope and Dylan blindly pulled off their perfect wedding, planning their big day in Pidgeon Forge, Tennessee from the Quad Cities area. Hope laughs, “Never seeing the venue in person, is crazy. We did it, though, and researched every person and detail that was a part of our wedding!” Their Smoky Mountains destination wedding is one of the most beautiful we have ever seen!

When Hope first met Dylan, she thought they were in very different places in their lives, considering she is four years older than he is. However, they grew a friendship and began dating a few months later. They moved into their first house after dating just two months. Eight years later, they are living a beautiful life together with their daughter Emme Grace. “Dylan is the most selfless man I’ve ever meant. He loves me in a way that I had never known. Seeing him as a father was the best love I’ve ever witnessed. We were and will always be perfectly imperfect for one another,” says Hope.

As they were planning their wedding from afar, Hope visited us in Davenport. She had already purchased a gown elsewhere but was having second thoughts. “I decided I needed a dress more me, no matter the venue. I walked into Hope’s, the first dress I saw….the only dress I tried on: Done. Sold. It was the ‘Hope’ dress!” she says, playing off her name and our shop’s name! She couldn’t have picked something more beautiful to wear for her fall wedding in the Smoky Mountains!

The big day was an emotional one for the couple and their 70 guests. To start, they married on October 7th, Hope’s late Grandma Dillin’s birthday. Even her grandpa Dillin was able to make the twelve-hour trip to celebrate with them, and they all felt her grandma’s presence.

The mountain views took everyone’s breath away. The couple chose to do a private vow reading together before the ceremony to take it all in. “We sat back to back overlooking the mountains and read our vows to one another. Dylan had me beat. His vows were every bride’s dream vows to hear!”

Seeing all their plans come together was amazing for Hope and Dylan. Since they had never met any of their vendors in person, there were tons of surprises, and it all turned out perfect!

They basically had a mini vacation for their wedding, so the newlyweds waited to take a honeymoon in February. They went to Punta Cana. “All you had to worry about was eating, napping, eating, drinking, eating… you get the picture!” Hope says.

Hope and Dylan, thank you so much for sharing your story and pictures with us. High fives for pulling off such an incredible event from so far away! We wish you a lifetime of happiness. Congrats!
