Do I need an appointment to shop in your prom department? When should I come?
Nope! If you have special needs or concerns, please feel free to call us before you plan to come, but we generally do not take prom appointments. If you prefer a quieter shopping experience, we recommend visiting us on a weekday. On weekends, please be prepared for an exciting atmosphere with lots of people and a mini fashion show experience! When we are busy, we may ask you to share a fitting room with a friend (if you’re comfortable!), as we need to book fitting rooms on a first-come, first-served basis. We have dresses available year-round, as we know there are special formal events all year.
When should I start shopping for a dress?
During the prom season (January-May), it’s best to shop early. You will have the best selection, be able to order more dresses in your size and color, and allow time for alterations.
Do you offer payment plans?
We offer flexible interest-free financing when you pay by check or cash. If you would like to pay by credit or debit card, we ask that you please pay in full, as you can finance it through your card/bank.
What should I bring with me when I visit?
We ask that all our guests please remove their shoes to protect the integrity of our gowns. With that in mind, you are very welcome to bring comfortable socks or slippers for you and your party. If you have pictures of dresses you like, we encourage you to show one of our consultants to help you find similar styles. It’s also a good idea to wear undergarments similar to what you will wear for your event.
What should I expect when I shop for my dress?
Hope’s is a family-owned and operated business with two locations. We want everyone who comes into our stores to feel like they are a part of our family and truly valued.
We will start your visit by asking some questions to get a feel of what you are after and how we can best help you. Then we will show you around, so you are able to look at all the beautiful dresses on the racks (literally HUNDREDS in each store!).
Once you have found around five dresses you like, you are welcome to start trying. From there, we can help you pull more. We ask that only those trying on dresses and Hope’s employees are in the fitting rooms to help protect the dresses; when you need help, one of our stylists will be happy to assist you!
In the bridal/prom industry, all sales are final and we know it’s a very big decision; we want you to feel 100% confident in saying, “YES!” If you can’t decide that day, no problem. We will keep track of your favorite dresses in our system, so we can pull them for you when you come back. If you know that is your dress and are ready to buy, we will take care of getting you checked out.

Do you carry my size?
To start with, please know that formalwear sizing is different from ready-to-wear. Be prepared to try on a variety of sizes, and don’t worry too much about what the tags say. Every designer’s sizes are different, so be open to trying any style you like on the hanger, even if it’s not your typical size! We have prom dresses in stock in sizes 00-26. It’s important to us to have beautiful styles for EVERYONE to try. However, please keep in mind that we usually buy just one gown of each style to be able to offer you the wide variety of gowns we do. Most of our samples are sizes 2-16, as those sizes tend to be the most commonly tried on and ordered. Many of our gowns are re-orderable in different sizes and colors.
